Diff numbers
 
Hey guys,Ineed a little help with the diff # on the maco. Ring gear # 3737957 10:37 GA 9-73 2. Case # 1A01 9 68 W.I don't hav books on diff #'s.I was curious what Motion did to rear . I know they had it out because it's purple like the engine and all bolts are non-stock. Also engine # CE 8A11 4 5 THANKS TIM

Tim, it looks like the rear axle has been changed. The numbers you supplied are for a Jan. 1968 3rd member. It was originally a 327, 3.70:1 positraction axle housing "AO". The gear's are still a 3.70 ratio by the 10 37 number or tooth count.

CE8A1145:
CE=Chevrolet Engine
8=model year-1978 or 1968 depending on the Cast date of block.
A1145=are unique.Here's why.Flint plant sequenced CE blocks from 20001-49999.when these numbers were exhausted,they started back at 00001-89999,and preceded those numbers with the letter A to indicate late production.
