Sun Roof Leak.
 

I know this is not really muscle car related at all, but I was hoping someone could help. I have a 1987 BMW 528e. The car has 205,000 miles and it runs excellently for a train car. The sunroof leaks. I am looking for some way to permanently seal up the sunroof. The weather stripping has faded and water collects in the duct but does not drain down out of the side of the car. Please me out guys, I am the original owner of the BMW and cannot let her go yet!

If you really just want to seal it up and don"t care about opening it anymore you could take it to a auto glass shop and have them seal it up with Urethane.

A lot of times when sunroofs leak it's due to the drains in the gutter area are plugged.
Open the roof & find these. Try using a stiff wire & rod them out.

I actually agree with the drain idea. I've opened the roof on others and used compressed air to clear out the drains. You may be able to do it without getting too invasive. I've also sealed a sun roof with the urathane (1st and only time) and the seam didn't look that great. HTH
