Got a parts car motor today. Casting # 3999290 B7.72 2 bolt
pad;T0209 CTB there is a partial vin but I can't make it out. Heads #6272292 A18.72 Think it might be from an El Camino but I'm not sure. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif any thoughts?

I have one exactly the same but its been wrapped up for 10yrs, I think its 325 hp out of a chevelle,10 to 1 I believe.

It could be a 72 Camaro, Chevelle or full size 402. See if you can make out the partial VIN and then you'll know what it came out of.

That's probably the best bet, it's just so darn faint. I can see the last three digits, maybe I'll try a better light or magnifying glass. TW

What is the letter in the begining of the VIN# stamped on the pad?
It should something like,1K123456
This will call out the plant,and help narrow it down to the car model it was installed in.
