Casting date for 163 intake
 

How much time difference should there be between the engine pad date and the intake manifold. I have a 68 L78 motor pad is T0610 MQ 163 intake is 6.10.8 The manifold had to be made sometime before the motor was assembled, right? or am I missing something. Your assumption is probably right Tom. Hard to imagine the 163 intake being cast on June 10, shipped and then installed on the engine the same day. But who knows, anything was possible I guess. I also do not know where the intakes were manufactured.

Common sense would probably indicate timing of about 5 to 60 days prior?????????

Tom I also have an L-78(MQ) from Tonawanda, built in spring of 68. I will check the date on my 163 tonight and see what, if any date difference there is. Kevin
