Marlin I think this rear end is under a car on E-Bay as a COPO the car date is 11D, Copo motor 3-24, and rear end 5-02 . https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Here's a possibly related thread on the Chevelle website

Re: 12 Bolt ID

Made a mistake in the description. the date code is D99 and in the back left (DR) of the casing the numbers are 12345 ontop and 67890 on bottom. Didn't notice the top numbers beacuse of all the paint and gunk. So it sounds like this diff was cast in September 1969. It can't belong to a 69 Chevelle???

Re: 12 Bolt ID

The date and code refer to a May COPO Chevelle rear. Yes, it would be from a 69 Chevelle built in the May-July range.

Re: 12 Bolt ID

Not being familar with COPO does this rear end have any added value or is it just a 12 bolt and not to be concerned if it breaks? Should mention it now has leaf spring brackets on it and is missing all brake components. Or should I be selling it and looking for another 12 bolt. Thanks

Re: 12 Bolt ID

If it has the original internal components then it is worth some big bucks to the right person(with a Yenko or COPO Chevelle). The price would be tough to determine with some modifications already being done to it. But the COPO rears had special heat treated components which are perfect for racing.
