Anyone know the application for a Hurst Competition Plus four-speed shifter with the following text on the body:

HURST
COMPETITION PLUS
US Patents
3216274 3306126

My 1969 Z/28 shifter has US patent# 3216274 under Hurst Competition Plus. Also has 3138 on the front. That # is one of the keys I believe. Type in Precision Pontiac at Yahoo and see what they have to offer. Pete is a nice guy to deal with. Sam

I believe the 3138 number is just the Hurst number for the stamping that makes up the shifter body as I see this number on many shifters that are completly different applications. The Hurst ID number should be in lower right area along the edge looking at dr side of shifter.
