For Sale: Virgin set of Z/28 original 2.02-1.60 valve cylinder heads. Casting numbers 3917291. Casting dates: L-1-7 (Dec 1, 67). These are super clean heads that have never been re-done. Castings are perfect, no porting or grinding at all. Excellent heads for a correct restoration. These would also be correct on a 68 327-350HP Vette or a 68 L79 327-325HP Chevelle. Got an offer from a person in Holland that wants to pay with a cashiers check in the amount of $6990. He wants me to wire him the difference from the sale of the heads. Can you smell any BS here guys? Any of you seen this before?

Yes,if it's what I think it is,it is indeed a Scam.
I have seen this before.
They over pay you,and ask you to send them the difference.The cashiers check is what is bogus,and by the time the bank figures it out,the money has already been sent back to the sender.
Ignore it.....

Believe it or not...Yes.
I read this in our newspaper,and saw on 20/20 about a couple who sent a stranger the difference after they cashed his cashiers Check.it turned out to be a Bogus Cashiers Check.
Thats the rub,people here Cashiers Check and automatically think it is OK.
Banks figure it out down the line,and you,the depositer, are left empty.
And it is almost always From another country.
