I cant believe it has that many bids and is that high. Its just a z-28, going to take a ton to restore it.

Aww come on. Just a Z-28..
Must be original paint. Looks like the Rally Green paint faded to teal. Minus the RS looks like a match to mine. Wonder what trans and rear end it has.

Micky;
What is a good price for a Z in this condition? I don't really know what it would cost to restore this car to original condition, but if an RS-Z28 would sell in the $30k+ range would this car be worth $10k as is?

How much does the RS package add to the value of a car in this condition, or does it detract due to the difficulty in obtaining parts?

There were 19,000+ Z28's in '69??

This is just my stuff, but a good car from us normally starts around 35-40K to do in decent shape to start. Depends on what kind of resto you are talking. But it looks like it will need a lot of bodywork. I would buy a done one before I buy a Z project unless its a JL-8 or something really special. To me I cant see 30K in a Z-28, they are not rare. Personally, I wouldnt pay more than 5K for it. Part it out, you will be money ahead. If somebody that buys it does there own stuff, then I can justify spending more of course.

That car looks like it will need a lot of work and a lot of parts. It's probably at it's max value right now. Some people like to know what's been done to a car so they would buy a project like this but you're better off buying a finished car if you can afford it.

I bet you can part out some of the parts to fund the project. For instance you could put up the ROSEWOOD WHEEL onto E-bay and see if the other fellow will give $2,000 for it. Just my .02 cents.
