SPRING CARLISLE

JUST GOT BACK FROM SPRING CARLISLE. THE CAR CORRAL WAS PACKED FULL AND THE QUALITY OF CARS WAS AT AN ALL TIME LOW. ANYONE THAT WAS THERE CARE TO COMMENT?

Just got back last night. I must agree with you there were a lot of "put together" cars with Maaco paintjobs. The only decent car I saw was a Chevy II Wagon. I did notice the price of dated parts have risen dramatically.

Jerry MacNeish and I were up there Thu. and felt the same way. There was a 69 Camaro SS 396 that was correct, minus the smog system. It was a guy from NY and he wanted $40,000 for it. Jerry said the car was worth it.

I was also there on Thursday. Spent eight straight hours digging through NOS and used parts in the swap meet and only covered 75% of the vendors. Never did make it to the car corral. However, I did find three great buys that made my trip worth while. My only reservation was flying and I couldn't fit NOS sheetmetal on the plane.
