Another for the "why" category...
I found this ad in a recent Deals on Wheels:
1971 CHEVROLET NOVA "YENKO DEUCE" (clone), correct LT-1 (copo code), 350CID/370hp, V8, 4 spd, Tuxedo Black, Black, vinyl bench seat, 4:10Posi, power discs, dual ex., Beautiful rest. Very collectible & fast. $28,900. Here is the ad "online": http://www.dejavucars.com/71ChevyYenko.htm Now, when I read the ad in the magazine, I originally wondered why they started with a '71, but figured it was a clone, so who cares. Then, I get to the price...$28,900! Isn't that getting into real Deuce price range? I mean, it may be nice, but didn't a red Deuce sell a few months back for LESS than this car?! Am I msising something here? |
Re: Another for the "why" category...
CTB=COPO code, geez. Every 4speed 70 Z should have the same code. If you wanted to build a clone, why not at least do a 70 car. And black, thats not even a close clone, we need a new word for this one. Try suckaa..BKH

The same car was at the Silver Auction in Reno in August but did not sell at about 19K.

Re: Another for the "why" category...
I had emailed these ho's when they had that bomb out there before, no reply. This is similar, or might be the same poor clone that was sold at Carlisle last year. Watched as some sap paid $19k for it, saw him later that day and at Stupid Chevy with slick nick from Golden Shower Classics. Need I say more??
