Re: Zl1-THE KIND!
When we bought #4 in Idaho it was a half-ass race car. The guy gave us a copy of the points standings for the year. One of his rivals on the list was also running a '69 at the time. Turns out it was #13.
Here's two guys racing these cars side by side for years and neither of them knew they were original ZL1s. |
Re: Zl1-THE KIND!
So what's the status about #4? That is TOO COOL about the racing! Any idea what class and ETs these cars were running?

Re: Zl1-THE KIND!
#4 was finished in 1989, sold in '95 to a private collector in WI. It's parked next to what I believe to be a Douglas Yenko.
No idea about classes/ETs. The sheet is circa 1986, "Idaho Independent Dragsters". |
Re: Zl1-THE KIND!
who won? am i on the porch?

Re: Zl1-THE KIND!
Beats me. Ask Ed Cunneen, he told me the story when he owned it. The owner of record circa 1987 was in Olympia, WA and his name doesn't appear on the list.
