This 1952 Wayne Martin and Schwartz Model 80 Mobilgas Gas Pump and Betty Boop Life-Size Statue is the ultimate package. It's a great opportunity to purchase an iconic Mobilgas branded pump and cartoon character. The two pieces complement each other perfectly and will be the highlight of any Automobilia Collection.

This handsome 1952 Wayne Martin and Schwartz Model 80 Mobilgas Double-Sided Gas Pump is an excellent example. This is an amazing 75-year old piece of iconic Automobilia. From the information gathered The Wayne Pump Company purchased Martin and Schwartz in 1951. They simply moved the Martin and Schwartz manufacturing equipment to their facilities in Salisbury, Maryland. The Wayne Martin and Schwartz Model 80 gas pump are vintage models that are cherished for their classic design reflecting the golden era of automotive history. This example was the product of a high show quality restoration that includes both externally and internally. The original 1952 Wayne Pump Company M&S tag indicates this is a Model 80, 1T Series and lists a serial number of 116201. It's believed this is an early model based on the low serial number. The gas pump body was stripped and prepped to be very straight throughout with no dings or dents. It was refinished with automotive paint in the Mobilgas colors of red and white. The backsides of the body panels were also refinished in a light green primer color. The top fascia is decorated with raised Mobilgas letters that illuminate when turned on. The show quality paint was recently detailed to a brilliant shine by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The red body has stylish vents on the top sides for air circulation. The body also has a light switch, and chrome handles. New Placards describing the lead content are affixed on the sides of the body. The side panel entry cover is opened with a push button which allows access to the door release levers which are operational. The white doors pivot on hinges allowing access to the internal space. The doors were outfitted with new glass and rubber seals. The doors were decorated with Mobilgas Pegasus badging. The internal white panel houses the three-function registers that indicate the sale price in dollars, gallons dispensed and cost per gallon in cents. Internal bulbs illuminate the register faces and advertisement windows. The internal frame and miscellaneous parts were restored. It's equipped with an NB nozzle and Goodyear 3/4” black rubber gasoline hose. A gas price display with plastic case has been attached to the top of the unit with a black bracket. Dimensions: 75” tall, 26” wide and 16” deep.

The eye-catching Betty Boop Life-Size Statue is very detailed with its realistic features. Betty Boop is a cartoon character designed by Grim Natwick at the request of Max Fleischer. She originally appeared in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop film series which were produced by Fleischer Studios and released by Paramount Pictures. She was featured in 90 theatrical cartoons between 1930 and 1939. She has also been featured in comic strips and prolific mass merchandising throughout the decades and two television specials in the 1980s. In 2025, Boop! The Musical debuted on Broadway. This example was made in the Philippines by Global Power Securities LTD in 2002. Betty Boop is a Hostess holding a menu and bell. The statue is in good overall condition with only minor imperfections. The statue stands 65” tall.
