Cool it’s ZL-1 powered!
Was Joe part of Egizio Chev/Olds Naperville also the ‘68 above from there?
I posted the below 07/69 Egizio Ad here 10 years or so ago w/ Yenkos available, are any Egizio delivered Yenkos known existing today?
:beers:

It's an uncommon name so odds are there was a connection and that dealer is local to the old Oswego dragstrip. Some of the family members are replying to the pics in that FB group.

One of the replies:

Running Wild Camaro was owned by
Stanley Wisneskey
Was at the time mechanic pin setter at town and country bowling alley in Joliet Illinois
Still there
Living in Channahon
Still there
Friends of my friend Gary Pilar
Motor used in That car purchased from my brother in law Gary Valentine
Out of his nova Hog Wild
Built by Jack Waldfogal
And was a Zl-1
Won pro stock 1 time at Oswego Dragstrip
Great memories

And FWIW, the picture of that Camaro on the strip was NOT taken at Oswego Drag Strip.

I bought my new 1970 Nova at Egizio Chevy-Olds in Naperville and never saw any indication that they specialized in high performance cars, especially not Yenko Camaros, so that newspaper ad is a real puzzler to me :confused2:

I posted the ad Pete, a family member said it was their uncle.

Bill that first pic is one of the old local tracks, Oswego or US30.

Love to hear if anyone remembers anything of Yenko cars @ Egizio?
A couple Hurst Olds cars in the Ad too, wonder if they’re known today?:hmmm:

Joe built that Vega after he sold the Camaro.

----Egizio would have been competing with Jack Douglass Chevrolet when talking about performance. They were right down Ogden Avenue from each other....Bill S

Probably US30, John, but having never been to that track, I couldn't say for sure. All I know is that Oswego never had advertising signs like that on the bleachers, nor were their bleachers as tall as those pictured.

And that's why it puzzles me. Having two dealerships that were maybe 10 or 15 miles apart, both selling Yenko cars makes not much sense. :hmmm:

In the fall of 1965, with the new 1966 cars already in inventory, my dad bought his one and only brand new car at Egizio, a leftover 65 Olds Dynamic 88. I was along with him when he bought it. And as previously mentioned, in June 1970 I bought my first car there, a new 1970 Nova. At neither time do I recall them having any substantial inventory of muscle cars available.
