Cliff Ernst Collection - Kissimmee 2026

Decades of meticulous curation embody this Yenko-heavy assemblage,
highlighted by the 1969 Yenko Camaro Prototype Pilot Test Car and a
selection of ultra-rare 1969 Yenko Camaros.

Absolutely a killer collection.

Over time I have accumulated information on the rare 10 Olympic Gold Yenko Camaros.
Whomever took the liberties to write the bio on the Cliff Ernst Gold Yenko did not research the necessary information to accurately depict the car.
First of all there are 4 known white stripe cars ….not 2 as described.
Cliffs car
Original Owner Connecticut car
Doug Perry car
Brothers Collection car
Secondly….Cliffs body number is 202477 which ranks 6th among the 10
Thirdly…Cliffs vin number is 9N579281 which ranks 3rd among the 10
I am confident that the reason Cliffs car was used as a magazine test car is that it was the ONLY gold Yenko left at the dealership and all others had already left to go out to the Yenko network dealers ….furthermore Cliffs car is the only gold car sold directly from Yenko Chevrolet.
So in closing it is not a pilot car nor is it a prototype car. I wholeheartedly agree that it is a test car for magazine coverage and exposure for Yenko Chevrolet.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge in this. I am sure when people hear Pilot or Prototype it helps with the hype and the dollars go up. It is a striking 69 Yenko non the less.

I would have to assume that in Pennsylvania when they opened up the racetrack to do the test and tune it had to be sometime in March or April. The magazine came out in May 1969.
Shipping date has 1-23 but then that is marked out/crossed out and then above it….it says 4–17
