'68 L68 Tri Power 427 Corvette Convertible - Interesting History
Beautiful car and only $27k - but has a coupe VIN - and the seller states "car was originally a targa top." I don't remember ever seeing a C3 convertible conversion, but in any case, I suppose this is still a fair deal for someone who doesn't care (or know) about the car having been a coupe in its past life.

----Interesting transformation. The poster appears to downplay the conversion, as there (in my estimation) is no way to do it without a complete rear clip. If nothing else, the work appears to have been well done. The price obviously reflects the conversion, but on the other side, now its a convertible, I guess! On the other side of the coin, maybe the tags came from another 68???....Bill S

Seller calls the color "red". Obviously, he has no clue what a beautiful car he has in Corvette Bronze with Bronze interior. As long as the tags and title are legit and match, and the conversion was done correctly by a professional shop, as he states, that car is a steal at 25k.

I agree, that is a very pretty car.

Turning a Coupe into Roadster is a lot of work, for what reason…more than likely a VIN jump w/ hot car possibility until proven otherwise?:dunno: :beers: ~ Pete . |
