There was a Jim Sorenson Chevrolet in Waukegan IL on Green Bay Rd . Gurnee was the next town going west. They sold 3 Yenko Deuces.

Sorenson in Waukegan is where we “Bimbi’s Car Craft” purchased our parts from, in the 1970s-80s. If I remember correctly our very own Jim Pearse was a parts manager there. I believe a guy named Gary Lang married into the family and opened a Chevy Dealership in McHenry illinois years later. I believe Sorensen sold at least one 1967 Z28 and lots of muscle cars. Was not aware they sold Yenko Deuces, but two towns over North / West, in Libertyville, Bernard Chevrolet….. I believe sold at least one Yenko Deuce.

Also recall Jim doing some fine paintwork at Knauz around that time. Did Mancuso sell a Yenko Deuce or two, as well? Remember Rick opening LFSC in the former Ford store on Western and selling some cool 'ol 'vettes (even had a Scaglietti at one point), as Classic Motors was doing in Hinsdale same era ...
