Favorite car movies, or chases, races, or scenes.
This list should be pretty long, and very interesting.
Lets hear about what car related movies you love, or even if the movie isn't that good, or not even about cars in general, does it have a good car scene in it? Obviously American Graffiti has it all. It's a car movie with all types of car scenes in it, and of course there's the iconic race between the 55 Chevy and the 32 Ford. Fast Times At Ridgemont High was "not" a car movie by any means, but the silver 1980 Z28 traffic scene with Spicoli crashing it into a wall was a car scene I'll always remember. |
Definitely American Graffiti is the king of car movies.
Hollywood Knights with the Project X 57 was fun. Adrenaline I just watched for the third time, really like that one. |
Both the original Gone in Sixty Seconds, and the newer Nicholas Cage version have some great chase scenes.

Dazed and Confused......set in the 70s, right when I was in high school. The parking lot and driving scenes were well researched. Just the right amount of muscle cars and Pintos to make it seem period correct....lmao.

Huge fan of Hollywood Knights!!

Vanishing Point. Poor "stunt" Camaro took the hit for the Challenger in the last crash scene into the bull dozer.

Because of my age, the following cars/movies are my favorites:
Hollywood Knights - Just awesome cars with Proj X, Tony Nancy's yellow Ford Coupe, the '65 GTO, Pie Wagon, Jimmy Shine's Ford, etc. American Graffiti Aloha Bobby and Rose - Loved that Camaro King of the Mountain - The Mulholland Dr road racing with Porsches and the Corvette of Dennis Hopper Duel - Just freaked me out as a kid even though that Valiant was nothing special The Car - Another scary movie as a kid that haunted me Phantasm - The Cuda was just cool Outrage - Made for TV Movie - Had a Nomad and other 70's street machine owned by some kids terrorizing their neighbor Plus some commercials like the Die Hard Battery commercial with Corky's Cuda, Starsky and Hutch, Hardcastle & McCormick, etc. The 70's were a good time to be a kid growing up with the Street Machine car culture. |
