68 L78 Camaro aftermarket modifications
1 Attachment(s)
My son sent this to me and it must be someone he is acquainted with. I have no knowledge of this car & just now learned all that is written about it. Any of you have any knowledge of what these holes were for mounting? They look well done but I have no idea.

Hone o drive? Would be cool if this was a motion car? I think they didn’t start till 69 putting hone o drives in cars but maybe I’m wrong or this 68 came in around 69-early 70’s for modifications?

Thank you. I agree that is likely what there from. Were these units needing to be installed by the dealer who sold them or could the car owner purchase over the counter & install themselves? Those 5 holes look to have been made by someone who knew what they were doing. I'd like to know how much of the original drive train is still with this car. The original rear end would tell a lot. A code for a 4:56 or 4:88 rear end & maybe a 4:10 would make an addition like this seem likely. If so, would you restore this car and install a Hone OD back in it as maybe the only "Day 2" item?

Loren, do you have a NCRS shipping report on the car?

No, I only learned of this car last evening. It comes from an unknown to me site discussing more mechanical issues as my son does some car repair in his driveway as a side business. I could ask if he would post asking that individual to come to yenko.com and or also the Camaro Research Group site & be willing to give some information.
