Yenko Chevrolet, McMurray, PA
 

I have a '67 Corvette that came from Zone 13 Dealer 899 and records show this as Yenko Chevrolet in McMurray, PA. Has anyone heard of this dealership before (other than the one we are all familiar with)?

Yenko Chevrolet moved from Canonsburg to McMurray in the 1970's, so it's the same famous dealership before it changed into Sun Chevrolet in the early 1980's.

Ahhhh, but my car is a '67 and the tank sticker is from 1967. Was it a there in 1967?

No. It was at the original site in 67

Did you get information on the dealer zone and code based on your vin through the NCRS data report. Or, are you able to read the zone and code off the tank sticker?

NCRS didn't have definite records on this dealer in 2011. I requested another and Yenko in McMurray, PA appeared to be the dealer from additional information. The tank sticker showed Zone 13 and dealer 899, also.

Is the legibility of the #’s on the sheet absolute, especially the 13?
Some cars have been shipped w/ GM Overseas Dealer Code # 899 but Zone 79.
Great to see fsc66 has weighed in above, his database is more complete than anyone else’s.

The zone is definitely 13 and the NCRS records confirm Zone 13 and Dealer 899. The new letter sent states Yenko Chevrolet was the ordering dealer.
