69 Chevelle taillight bezels repop-v-original
 

A little helpful hint for anyone using repop 69 Chevelle taillight bezels.
Got these with a stash of NOS 69 sheet metal and other things.

Biggest issue is the lens [repop] does not fit flush on upper outer corners of repop bezels.

Pic 1 is repop both and you can see gap between lens- bezel upper- outer corner.
pic 2 is original bezel with same lens and it fits fine
Pic 3 shows the upper outer ledge the lens sits against is too tall on the repop.
It is on top of the original bezel.

Last pic is overall with original above repops.

With a little grinding on that ledge they are not bad.

Do not need these so they were donated for shipping cost on team Chevelle. Have NOS and nice used ones and they were throw ins with a much bigger purchase.

That = free.

I think I might have a couple complete assembly's somewhere.

Thanks Charlie but we have plenty. Have NOS pair and 2 pairs of excellent originals. That is why we passed the repops on to a new home.
