Fuel pumps

3 Attachment(s)
I have 2 small block fuel pumps. The first one looks like a Carter, but has no name on it. Just a tag with 40468 on it. I would like to rebuild it and use it on the 327 that I'm building for my dad's '55 Chevy. Does any one know what this pump is and where I can get parts for it?

The second one has the numbers 40987 and what might be a date of 21 on it. Does anyone know what this pump is and is it worth anything? I didn't see AC on it anywhere.

I see those kits all over e-bay but I would probably talk to Fred Ballad about a quality kit for the one with screws. The other is a replacement we used to sell for 350s & other 4v carb small blocks. ....Joe

Thank you.

Turns out that the first pump is a Borg Warner. I can't find parts for it. I took this pump off of a 350, but the numbers say it's for a 396. I've got several pumps and I can't tell which are for a big block and which are for a small block. What's the difference?

I was thinking the angle or the length of the arm is different. I will look when I get to the shop....Joe

Different arms.

A company called Blackstone produced the fuel pumps for AC as I recall. They also sold them without the AC logo under other brand names, but with the same numbers stamped on them.
