Distributor lead wire help
1 Attachment(s)
Anyone know a source for these? Not having any luck opening the wire contact tab, soldered maybe?? I've been on AAW's site and others, no luck. The dist. lead wire the Corvette vendors sell is a cheezy joke.

Ebay is your friend. They turn up regularly. What car, what engine. I have Delco books and am willing to do the research. A distributor number will work as well.

Thank you! 1111169 and will need for 1111195 also, both '67 Chevelle applications.
Ebay leads me to 12338662 D1203 which is stated to be 21" long. Maybe a default supersession for all? My need is 13 1/2" long. That's why I was wanting to build my own from 16 gauge copper wire. Appreciate the help!! - Bill W |
Forked-Flag terminal.
I missed out on a large NOS Delco qty on ebay Agree the generic replacements look nothing like geni items |
My pre 1981 aftermarket Delco books show the same D1203, and the distributor break down book shows 1942518, which is a D1203 also.
However.... I have a 1963 illustrated catalog that shows pictures and overall lengths. D1204 / 1950577 shows 13 1/8 D1206 / 1958971 shows 14 5/8 D1202 / 1932616 shows 15 1/4 D1205 / 1954563 shows 15 3/4 They all show having the same terminals. Maybe one of those will get you closer. |
That is a huge help!! The search is on!!
A big thanks to all who have responded, SYC come through again!! :youguysrock: |
Try M&h fabricators. They can make you anything you want.
