Didnt a member here buy a blue l89 at auction and then back out a few years back? Car was restored in VA?. I do remember it was a x11 changed to a x22 by hammering out the 11 and stamping a 22 where the 11 was to avoid a repro tag . I also believe the car got some sort of cert of authenticity by someone It was a blue car. Not sure if same car or not because there are so many fake l89s out there

From Kurt S. over on CRG. "Car was NOM, then suddenly had a restamped L89 and fake docs."
That's all I need to know. |
Correct colors. Car originally a 350SS w a 12 bolt. I made a typo the tag was a X11 and made into a X66 NOT X22. It [tag]was certified as original by someone Im told while it was in Florida. Previous auction Dallas 2012. Kissimmee 2013. A member here I believe bought it at auction and then I believe backed out of the deal, not sure which auction it was. Ironically if it was restored to the quality it was as a real 350 SS it probably would have brought clone L89 money just the same. Vaughn as its spelled on the paperwork, should be spelled "Vaughan".
