Expensive '67 Chevy II Super Sport
Cool car for sure - originally Madeira Maroon with a 275hp 327 engine and a 4-speed, and evidently still retains its original powertrain. Still, the bidding (over $50k as I write this) seems incredibly strong considering all the modern aftermarket parts underhood. Maybe this is the new normal....
With an engine assembly date of 1/24 and a trim tag dated 06D, is there any way this could be the original engine? Wow, I opened this up and said "when was he here and took pics ?"
That building looks very much like mine. Anyway, I think the seller is showing it is code correct, but if any unsuspecting buyer wants to think it's the original, all the better. https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...=278&crop=fill |
A no-sale the last time around (even at the high bid, in excess of $50k, wow).
Relisted in the link below and currently sitting just shy of $30k.... Link to 1967 Chevy II auction |
Relisted again, in the link below - currently at $33,200 with the reserve not yet met.
Makes me wish I had kept the '66 Super Sport in my avatar. One of the few cars I truly regret selling. Link to 1967 Chevy II Super Sport auction |
