'69 Dart GTS #s 383/4-sp Project, Last Driven in '78

Neat car still wearing a good portion of its original paint. Evidently one of 784 produced...and bidding is pretty strong so far, with 5 days left to go.

Strong bidding, indeed. That's a good, solid foundation but it's still gonna need a substantial cash infusion to finish it off the right way.

I was wondering where the crank was...

Probably not advisable to leave it there while the car is being transported :smirk:

Maybe Graveyard Carz Mark Worman owner would make a bid. Big Mopar guy and love his show. 69 Dart GT 340 would put away these 383 cubic inch motors. Anyhow solid car and good restoration project.

When I read the description that the 383 engine was legendary, I just rolled my eyes. What they were known for was being on par with an L35 396.

It is a really solid looking project and would be fun to do.

Still, a 383 is cooler in a Dart than a 340, IMO, as is an L35 vs. a 350 in a '67 Camaro.

For appearance sake, yeah, but when either small block will kick butt on their larger brethren, in original form, that's just not cool... https://www.yenko.net/forum/data:ima...HVs6F6EQAAOw==

Agree, the 340 GS Dart will beat those 383 ci inch powerplants everytime.
