Black on Red '65 GTO, Original Paint
Unfortunately, it's a "bit" rusty - I wasn't too concerned until I saw the trunk picture. Still cool to see an original black paint car, with the red pinstripe and red interior. Might make sense to restore this one to a high standard if it were a Tri Power 4-sp car; not sure you'd ever break even on a 4bbl/auto car, but the color combo may bring the money nevertheless. I know I'd pay a significant premium for the right colors.

Poor thing. I'm not sure what I expected.
Built in Pontiac, Michigan. I'd want redlines (rather than white walls) with that red interior and pinstripe. Chalk marks on the firewall are kinda cool ("A" = Starlight black; "16" might be for "216" = red interior). No outside rearview mirror in the first pic; mirror added to the door in the second pic. In the wrong spot for '65 in either case. K |
