I have a 69 Camaro what is the best way to get some information on it such as what engine, transmission rear end it was built with.

Post a picture of the car, engine compartment and trim tag on the firewall. That will be a good start.

Please don't take this wrong. I'm not trying to be rude, but Camaro doesn't have a "e" in it. You will get more information when doing searches if you spell it correctly.

It was nice talking with you on the phone the other day. It sounds like an interesting car. You may want to give users here a little more background on what you know about the car. You mentioned you acquired the car in the early 70s from a racer who was given the car by Chevrolet. You also mentioned the car was known to have left the factory with a 427 engine. A NCRS dealer report would likely help support this if the car shows as delivered to a zone office rather than a dealer. There is a link at the top of this page to order the NCRS dealer report.

I don't see a hole where a cowl induction relay would have been on the firewall for a 427 car. Heater box has been off.
