71 Malibu LS3/402 Sleeper- Orig Owner
4 Attachment(s)
Dennis O'Berg ordered this sleeper new. It's outward appearance is unassuming (sans stripes & cowl hood), however a look under the hood and interior floor mounted shifter, tells a different story. Although the engine script indicates 400ci, which was a designation for a small block, the 402 LS3 big block breathes beneath the hood. Congratulations to Dennis for preserving and enjoying the car for almost 50 years!!!

My kind of Sleeper!
Love it....Thank for sharing the link. Dan |
Very nice! I recall that our local Chevy dealer back in the day, Ed Fanning in Aurora, IL, had several similarly equipped (minus the a/c) in stock.

Note '71 side script has 400 Malibu but '72 w/ Malibu 400. Both such cool cars, especially for what was still available @ the end of the musclecar era. :beers: ~ Pete . |
Both years shared the same nomenclature reading left to right.
MALIBU 400 on the drivers side fender & 400 MALIBU on the Passenger side fender. |
RPO LS3 400 4bbl rated at 330 hp in 1970 down to 300 in 1971.
