69 rs vacumn tank & bolts
 
was the tank gloss or semi gloss paint also the 3 bolts that hold it to the inner finder where they black phos or silver zink

Mine still has it's original finishes. The tank after 50 years is hard to tell. It's not really all that shiny, not like the heater box is anyway and that's original finish too. Which leads me to believe the tank was likely semi gloss. I'd like to hear from others though.

The bolts holding the tank on the inner fender are definitely a black phosphate coating on mine. The tiny bolts that hold the vacuum switch to the tank are a silver zinc finish.

Based on my (2) original RS/Zs, the vacuum tank should be 60% gloss black. The (2) small bolts that attach the RS vacuum switch to the tank (B) should be gold zinc or zinc dichromate plated. I've seen two styles of fasteners that attach the RS tank legs to the inner fender, (A) bolt with integrated washer that is manganese (dark) phosphated (see photo), the other is a Phillips screw that is clear (silver) zinc plated so the finish will depend on the fastener that was used on your car.
