Nice car, and I'm in no way doubting it started life as a Z. Very nice original interior, clean underside, etc...looks quite nice. Nevertheless, I'm surprised Jerry would be willing to certify a car as a Z/28 without docs or original drivetrain. Looks like he was basing the certification on the original 12-bolt and other clues on the car.

I guess it never occurred to me that he would certify a Camaro performance option without the original engine or docs. Maybe docs exist that the seller neglected to mention?

Yeah, I've had a couple '68 ss 350 4sp cars w/orig BU rears.
Also, a 68 ss 350 rally grn car w/4:10's, 4sp, and 4 leafs.

I had a twin to this car up until 1995 only a real RS car with a matching drive train. I used to take my kids to school in it every morning. They called it "The Booger Green Car," I think after Dennis Rodman on the Chicago Bulls. My first purchase from Dana Mecum @ his 1993 auction in Marengo Illinois. I even put a set of 1967 Corvette Bolt On's and Goodyears on it. It had a 3:73 gear and was a blast to dive.

Illinois eh? I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole, that thing is probably full of Bondo,,look at the pitting on the rear axle,,,no way, I grew up in northern MN,

I would still like to know how Jerry knew the car didn't start out life like one of the above cars? Different story if it had original paint.

Whenever I see Flowmasters on any vintage cars, I stop looking at the pics.

A loose Protect-o-plate evidently comes with the car.
