GM Door Jamb Bumpers
3 Attachment(s)
Have a quick question...I have a new, unused set of (4) small size
GM door jamb bumpers all with the embossed #591 on them. I wish to sell them...what are they worth? Correct for Chevelle and other models? See pics... Thanks, Sal |
They still sell these at the dealer:
Door Shell Stopper - GM (20376243) List price is $1.53 each. I do not know if they are an exact match to the old ones. Scott |
Those bumpers are from the late 80's.... I know because of the AB markings. I had to locate an NOS set for the 87.
If anybody has them... I am looking for a set of 4 head marked: DH 7192 Thanks! |

The earlier AB bumpers were single number embossed like these off my Wife's survivor 82 Z28

These just sold on flea bay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-66-67-6...p2047675.l2557 LOL.. All the seller had to do is tell people they were embossed. Of the two NOS pictured in the early embossed dates shown were 1973 and 1972. Later in the 1980's the Julian dating was reversed with the year at the end. In the 1960's the year was at the front. So for my 1967 I am actually seeking 1967 dates. DH 7192 DH (MFG) 7=1967 192 Julian Date. For My wife's 1982 the dating was reversed. AB 862 AB (MFG) 62 Julian Date 2=1982 Real factory correct and simple NOS are still different. |
Did the assembly line versions have smaller holes than the later replacements?

Based upon my observations Yes... Factory correct for 1967:
Even the NOS in the auction were the big hole type. |
Also forgot to mention that on the inside portion of these bumpers
(between the nipples) there is an embossed number 3. Not quite sure what that means either. Anyone? Sal |
