the real ones have a raised part # stamped on to them also the fit is better

but probably when you restore the interior completely, with everything fresh the original one would not be up to par. I say good repop for now and then down the road get one but they are probably going to be stupid money. Not sure 99% of the people can really tell once installed.

I recall years ago people were selling NOS ones with the part # but they were repo.

ive had and used both..ive had a half dozen NOS..ive had them side by side

i gotta say..i agree..in a fresh car..once its in the dash its extremely hard to tell the repop isnt right...and news flash..the originals dont fit all that well either..
