LS6 Conv

Anybody have info on the LS6 conv that seems to be constantly listed for sale? eBay # 252499822075. Good car?

Bruce,
Car was marketed back when the Ray Allen LS6 convert sold at Barrett Jackson by Jim Brady in DE.
Car has docs and a decent resto but is a CE engined car which in my opinion is a whole lot better than a restamped motor.
Car has sold a few times over the years. If the car in person still looks good cosmetically I don't think that it is a bad buy for someone looking for a real LS6 convert that doesn't mind it being an automatic with a warranty motor.

No big whoop, but the transmission cooler line yellow part # decal is incorrectly on the inlet fuel line.

Re: LS6 Conv

There's a few incorrect details under the hood for sure but overall not a bad car.
BTW Rick, I'm surprised that you picked out the cooler line decal and didn't mention the metal power steering pump filler cap :-)

Thanks guys - does anyone know how much sheet metal work had to be done? Any pre-resto photos around?

Re: LS6 Conv

Along with that decal & missing grille emblem, that P/S cap too is an easy fix too.So is the backwards master cyl. bail clip that could be weeping fluid, and missing the GH call out on the diverter valve.Again, all easy fixes.Alternator fan & pulley look to have an incorrect gold hue to them,or it could just be the lighting.
I like it has the early built characteristics of under headlight moulding and the battery ground @ the block.
Can't tell if it has the early flat or later bubble reverse light tail lens in those pictures.
Noticed the larger seat oversized lug nuts.
Love this color combo.

That car is from my home town. A guy I know was buddies with the original owner. Helped him fill out the order sheet. They worked together at a GM plant here in Saginaw. Car sat in a Chicken Koop for many years before the second owner got a hold of it in the early to mid 80's. Second owner is the guy that restored it. Guy he sold it to did some detailing and sold it 4 months after he bought it. It was the year the Ray Allen car sold at Barrett Jackson.
