Did Yenko sell or produce a 1972 Nova?
 

Greetings Yenko Forum,

This is my first post on here and I'm a new member. The purpose of this post is to learn about the Yenko line. I've conducted multiple searches on this forum and throughout the Internet.

As the title states, did Yenko produce a '72 Nova?

Based on the forum 1970 was the last year of records for the Nova, then from 1970 - 1972 Yenko produced the Vega. And in 1972 Yenko stopped producing cars.

Any help is appreciated.

I know it may sound like a stupid question, but a distant family relative is selling their '72 Nova "Yenko" and I'm trying to determine if its real or a clone.

Short answer, no. Perhaps Yenko sold through the dealership. Small maybe, a mis title due to it being unsold. (not likely). My yellow one is titled as a 71 due to the half year ad. Blame the state of IA.

No, but he had plans to do so.

Yenko intended to continue the Yenko Deuce program into 1971, and add another model called the Yenko Ace. The Yenko Ace was simply a decal and wheel package, whereas the Deuce would continue as the Performance package. Obviously, neither one made it to reality as the Yenko Deuce inventory became difficult to sell later in 1970. By '72 Yenko was again toying with the idea of a Nova with a graphics and wheel package, and had done a couple of artists' renderings - but it never made it past that point.

SB or BB also does it have a Hood tach?
For sure Yenko sold '72 Novas but whether any were something special is more the question.
Confirming Vin and running it through the NCRS to confirm delivering dealer may be best first, then go from there?
