Hemi Convertible buyers at Mecum auction in FL.

Just wondering who the buyers were of the big $ cars at the auction in Florida? Thought maybe you guys here might shed some light? The Brothers Collection pick them all up?

Brothers Collection bought the yellow 70
Big Bob B. bought the White 71
Not at Liberty to say on the green Challenger but a new name in the circle of collectors, at least to me.

I think with a name like 'the brothers collection', they need to buy some 'different kinds of rides' to go along with the hemis. Please dont kick me off the board, I just had to get it off my chest...
I know they got the best cars and watched all the videos of their stuff...but maybe add something infront of brothers? Like we got 2 brothers beer here in chicago (can you imagine 'the brothers beer'?)...are these 2 guys, or 3? Please save me from cracking up everytime.

Thanks Charlie.
I was half expecting the brothers to snap up the 2 TA convertibles? Are all 8 cars still alive and well?
It sure would be nice to see the brothers open a museum so the public could view their magnificent collection. If they ever decide to quit the hobby like Ron Pratt imagine that auction!
Who is Big Bob B? Excuse my ignorance.
I did notice a guy with a big belly bidding on a lot of the high dollar mopars.
Do you know who bought the Green Coronet vert? It is a striking colour combo!

All 8 TA converts exist. The long missing one has been found and is being restored. Maybe it will show up at the next MCACN.The Brother's had interest in the two TA verts but not at the asking prices. The Brother's Collection is working on the Museum right now. The plan is for it to be semi open to the public, like some weekends and for charity events etc. It is a huge task.
Bob B is a friend and is a big guy, not rotund, just big.
I think Steve Fox got the Coronet.

Thanks for the detailed response Charlie!
It is hard to believe all 8 TA's have survived 40 plus years.
I hope the Museum happens, that would be awesome! Where would it be, California?
I really want to make it to the MCACN one day, I would have loved to have seen all those E body Hemi Verts together!
I did see the video of the gathering on the Muscle Car of the Week website, almost as good as being there!
Bob , Steve Fox names I haven't come across before. Hopefully these are guys achieving a long time goal of buying the car of their dreams!

Well let me give you another reason to join us in the Chicago area for the upcoming MCACN show, which will take place November 19-20.

The recently found and long thought to be lost 8th '69 Trans Am convertible will be unveiled after an extensive restoration by Scott Tieman and the Supercar Specialties crew in Michigan, (taking place right now!) this year. We are truly honored to be chosen to be the place this pinnacle car will be shown for the very first time at our show.

Bashton

That means that ALL EIGHT of the original Trans Am convertibles will be MCACN alumnus!

I do plan on getting out to MCACN also ... Unfortunately its the same weekend as the street car super nationals in vegas. I do believe the wife and I will try and get there one of these years.

As far as I know, Steve Fox still owns my old 1971 440 Six barrel 4-speed Cuda ragtop. I sold it back in 1986 after I restored it it. Real billboard car, born with engine, and two tags full of options. I found it in Miami. I still have the entire restoration photo album for the car.
