Dried out bucket seat headrests

I tracked down a near perfect set of parchment headrests but they look very dry and brittle. Is there anyway to preserve them? I've had good luck bringing plastic and rubber back using leather conditioner but before I go that route anyone have other suggestions? Thanks.

It's like finding a wooly mammoth tusk in a sand pit. Looks like you can just wipe the sand off and go home but time you arrive home it turned to dust. I've seen some amazing things done with original paint when replacing the oils but these headrest are more like wooly mammoth tusks.

All you can do is cover them. Like bluel78 stated you cant bring a fossil back to life.
