69 Camaro L78 Drive Shaft Stripe Colors Spacings

I need some help
After much searching on this site as well as a few others I have found nothing definitive on the assembly line striping on the below 2 cars

04C L78/M21/BV 410

02D L78/M40/355

My shafts have been stripped and the areas that were painted are clearly there but the color is unrecognizable can anyone chime in on these specific cars?
I have seen some good info on COPO's/ Nova's and some early Z's but not 69 L78 Camaros

Thank you
Fred

I read thru the CRG info and I thought LA cars and norwood could be different. Look liked some LA cars had wide stripes but they were also like 67s. Also sounds like autos and 4 speeds different. I decided 4 speeds the age of mine, 03D, had orange toward transmission then white. My stripes appear to be 7/16ish with about 3/8 between them.

Re: 69 Camaro L78 Drive Shaft Stripe Colors Spacings

Is there anyone else that can provide some input on correct color drive shaft stripes for M40 and M21 69 L78 Camaros?

I found a 68 L78 M21 survivor on the Team Camaro site with 3 stripes starting from the front yoke orange green white but nothing on the M40/Turbo 400

I will contact Brian Henderson of The SuperCar Workshop to see what he painted the 1969 L78/M21/BV Pace Car he did a couple of years ago.

Thank you
Fred

Tom- Thank you very much!
Do you know if this was from a Camaro/Nova/Chevelle?- I am not sure if the colors are the same due to differnt lenght shafts/ differnt plants?

Thank you again for the input-

This one is from a 04C COPO Camaro M21 trans, I am not sure anyone has fully figgerd out them strip colors.

Note the center strip was brown, not called out in the photo.

This is a Nova driveshaft...which I believe is the same length as the Camaro [experts can chime in]

Here are the specs I put together for another SYC member………
blue, green, orange….orange is closest to the front yoke….

Stripes start 17 ½ “ down from front yoke

Stripes are 5/8 “ wide….3/8 “ between each stripe

hope all this helps...wilma

Tom/Mike

Thank you both very much

Mike - I saw that you posted this information previously and wondered being a COPO with a different rear ( My BV Gears are the same) if it made any difference.

I don't know if this helps you, but these are the stripes and colors on my '69 L78/M40 Nova. I measured the original stripes and colors and replicated them, but I don't have the measurements available as after I was done, I threw away the paper where I had written down the measurements (see in one of these photos).https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-33669-009.jpg
