I may be looking for a needle in a haystack here but thought it worthwhile to ask the question regardless.
I have just received the NCRS paperwork for a 69 Chevelle I have recently purchased and it came up as zone 39, which is New Mexico, Texas and Arizona, with the dealer code of 65, which I'm told that GM documents have no info for. Does anyone know who dealer code 65 may be in zone 39?

Entering that zone and dealer code suggests it may have been Bender Chevrolet in Chandler AZ or Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe.

I would think that Chapman Chevrolet is the one your 1969 Chevelle was sold at new.

Thanks guys. I did check the data base before posting and saw the 2 dealers but wondered if someone may have something a bit more concrete and narrow it down to one.
Drew, what makes you think it would have been Chapman Chevrolet?

Hello Damien,
I listed the time line of the two dealers names using the same zone and dealer code with my first reply to answer your question.
I do not know when Chapman Chevrolet opened or closed the dealership.
You may want to contact the local Tempe AZ library to see if they had advertising in the newspaper or old phone book back on the year of 1969.

Looks like Bender was sold to Chapman some time in the '70's, with Chapman in business from about '66? I'm going to contact Chapman and see if I can turn anything up. Never know.
