I do, too. Not surprised to see a Z/28 made into a race car. After all, there were 20,000 of them made; they have since reproduced like rabbits! 200,000 now! Kinda reminds me of Joe Scott's old convertible Super Stocker....a genuine Z11 pacer

I would like this car even better without the 4" hood and wheelie bars.

Pretty cool; love the color.. There was/is a X33 HO car in my neck of the woods in full cage mode.. Been like that for 30 plus years.

Re: Another cut up 69 Z28
Can't knock it. It is a very nice color and it is a finished usable ride, which my car is not,Argh!
I remember when the Pro-Street thing took off and this car is tastefully done. I had a neighbor that P.S.'d his 70 Chevelle. It had an identity crisis, IMO, as he left several elements of a restored car, like cowl hood & striping, yet was tubbed with a roll cage. I did not care for this as I felt it should be one or the other. IIR, it still had a bench seat (not sure if that is possible with roll bar). With that stock hood and interior, I thought it was some kind of abortion, I would have put a 'snorkel' scoop on a reg. hood, just my opinion, of course. Back to this car, I am more old school and prefer the Day 2 mods or 80's components, but to each his own. At least it doesn't have those 20in. wheels, blech! |
