The die cast pcs were run thru a Vibratory shaker machine...........
The sand cast case was shot blasted with fine steel shot in Wheelbrator machine

Fasteners were manganese phosphate plated and then sprayed with Fluid Film

There are many companies that can Flame Spray an Aluminum Coating onto Cast Iron to protect the surface from rusting !!!!!!!!!

Those pieces came out nice Chuck. I like the factory sheen.

Have you done any valve covers yet?

The process that is claimed to be "re skinning" is a combination of vapour blasting and or tumbling. I have Used both processes and the vapor blasting had the best outcome on Aluminum without any distortion to part numbers or critical casting details.
There is no process that I know of that puts a new "skin" on parts. It just freshens up the old one.

Never heard of vapor blasting......surprised its never been written about on this or other restoration web sites ????
