69 RS Washer bottle bracket fastener questions

Hi All. Trying to figure out the correct fasteners and plating for the washer bottle bracket on a 69 RS. There are the ones from the bracket to body and the ones from that bracket to the actual bracket holding the bottle. The ones on there are phos finish with "D" markings.....the ones that come in the kit are silver plated....I believe "D" as well. Also there are two sizes. Is silver the correct plating found on original cars? Are there some good pics around showing this and other engine compartment details? Thanks!

You mean the attaching screws that bolt to the inner front fender?
And the screws that bolt the bracket together?

Thanks m22mike. That's what I thought and heard from others. Truth is - I am straightening out a bunch of stuff on my car and like to take care of all the details properly....from big to the smallest. So....while I get my 69 Camaro education...I will be asking a bunch of questions I can't find the answers for myself. Some will probably be dumb....so please be gentle with me! Re: 69 RS Washer bottle bracket fastener questions

Thanks again. I do have a couple more under hood hardware questions. The bolt holding the cowl induction relay to the firewall. Mine is phos. Not sure about the head configuration or marking yet. I have seen pics of a bunch of other cars that show it as silver cad or silver zinc. What is correct on that? Does anyone sell the correct one? Also - my voltage regulator bolts are phos with a "D" I believe. The ones that came in the detail kit are silver zinc.....but with no head markings......what do you all see on those? This car was restored at least 15 years ago and I believe the restorer lumped a bunch of hardware in the "Phos" pile for replating.....even though much of it should have been cad or zinc. Thanks all.

Jim
One way to answer some hardware questions is to first find a GM# in the 69 assy manual, it should be there if installed by Chevrolet ( not so much on Fisher body installed items)
Then cross the # over on AMK's catalog. There is a great PDF file on there WWW.
This will work most of the time, but having re; info from original cars is great too. The VR screws have a flat tip and are bright. The cowl relay screw I would bet is bright plated based on the finish on the relay, just not sure, AMK offers it bright and phosphate.

Do you have these on the wire gutter ? Loose captured washer and several head markings, AMK has these as well.

Re: 69 RS Washer bottle bracket fastener questions

Thanks again Mike. Yes - I have the assy manual. I didn't realize AMK had a part number cross.....great to know! I have noticed some of the kits have things not right for my car. For example - bright, serrated horn bolts that I understand are not correct for a May 69 built car. If this was a Mopar - people would be asking me what to use - lol! I will try and utilize the assy manual/AMK more. So - your VR screws have no head marking.....which are like the ones I got in the kit. I will check on my gutter screws. Again - thanks.

The AMK kits are good, but adjustments have to be made, allot of misconception on the horn bolts. The bright ones are seen on very early cars.
