1969 R Code Mustang door tag
 

I have an old door somewhere with the tag on it. It was an R code car. Are they like a GM and have a trim tag and a vin tag on the dash or does the Mustang only have the door tag? I do not know jack about the Ford stuff and thought about this today. I think it was a red car with 4 speed. I do know enough that the power train options are on the door tag etc. Just wondering.

I think by law, the VIN must be on the dashboard starting in 1969.

If you post the tag, I can tell you a little bit about the car.

1968 on the passenger side dash then it switched to the drivers side in 69 [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img]
