68 Charger 440 4 speed
 

A friend just recently bought the car he owned 30 years ago. My question......does Chrysler Canada have a vintage service similar to GM of Canada vintage services? and if so how can they be contacted? He is interested in finding what options etc. the car was born with.

Chrysler Historical, I believe, is good up to 1966 or so ( IBM card with all car info, including selling dealership). I don't know of a Canadian service.

The fender tag can tell you a bunch, but not all, of the options that came on the car. For the rest, the Broadcast Sheet is what you'd need to see all the options that the car was born with.

If he's having trouble deciphering the tag info, shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll be able to decode it for you. A 1968 Charger R/T was the first car I restored. UU1 Light Blue Poly, Auto, 3.23 Sure Grip, and I restored it for the original owner [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif[/img] Got Outstanding in Class at the Houston Autorama in 2010.

I think Tracker would know more about this than Galen re: Canadian docs.

In any case, if the car still has the fender tag or - better yet - a build sheet, we can help here.
