69 camaro heater box textured paint
 

Restoring a non ac heater box and the low gloss black paint is textured.Looked like the suede paint used on the dash.Anyone else notice this?thanks John

If you are talking about the interior side under the dash, I am told that painting it in flat black and holding the rattle can about 18-24 inches away and misting it to get a textured look is pretty much what a lot of guys here do.

As for the dash top, I used a factory paint code match and didn't thin it as much in the gun and it dried with texture to it. Took me a few attempts to get it right.

flat black on the interior heater box......as flat as u an get it - texture, I'm not so sure as mine 09D car, looked to be basically flat back, not flat and texture.
