65 chevelle small block question
 

Did small block V-8 engines in a chevelle have the vin number stamped on the engine pad in 1965 or just an assembly date
And what year did they start with the vin numbers on the pad ????

They started stamping vin numbers on the pads in 62 with the hi perf motors., 409 for example.

327/300HP Chevelles 64/65 and later the 396's had the vin stamped on the pad.
