Early or late build car? 71 Nova SS
 

Hi guys, I am looking over a project that I inherited (71 Nova SS) and am wondering how to tell if the car was an early build car based on a build date code of 08E0. Would it be August of 70 or 71? When did the new models start being built?

Looks like 5th week of Aug. 1970,for a 1971 model.
August,especially 5th week,was a period when the new models were rolling.
That,and the fact that interior code 754 & paint code 13 were both exclusive to the 1971 model.

Ok thank you. The car was pretty loaded up having AC, power steering, and a console automatic with gauges. I have the original 12 bolt and trans but the motor is long gone. It was repainted a darker gray at some point.
