Yenko engine rebuild - 4speed vs. Automatic
... Is there somewhere that I can find out what the difference is in rebuilding a 1969 Yenko Camaro 427 motor
.... that shows if there are any difference between a 427 motor that was built for a 4 speed Camaro compared to a 427 motor built for an Automatic yenko Camaro? |
Re: Yenko engine rebuild - 4speed vs. Automatic
There was no differences in part numbers on anything other than the fact that the stick shift crankshaft got a pilot bushing.

Re: Yenko engine rebuild - 4speed vs. Automatic
Only difference is the pilot bushing.
No internal differences. |
Re: Yenko engine rebuild - 4speed vs. Automatic
.... so the automatics did NOT have hydraulic lifters? .... they both had solid lifters? |
Re: Yenko engine rebuild - 4speed vs. Automatic
Correct. Solid lifters in both stick and auto.
