orig tires vs orig spare

Just wondering if anyone knows did the orig tires that a car was delivered with always match the spare in 69? Working at a gm dealer for the last 22 yrs i know it isn,t the case within the last 25 or so yrs .Thanks.

Section 10 sheet A1 of the 1969 Camaro Assembly Instruction Manual has this notation:

"All tires of same size & ply rating furnished with any vehicle shall be of same make."

They had to be as the spare was part of the tire rotation sequence.

First time I can recall seeing the spare being different (aside from the space-saver equipped cars) was when the mini-size spares came to be. Nowadays you can't even be sure that your new car has ANY spare tire at all!
