68-9 console 8-track bumpers?
 

I have a few camaros with the console 8-track option and noticed that there should be 4 rubber bumpers underneath it to keep from rubbing the console but all are missing. I tried a deck lid bumper as the outine looked the same but they are not thick enough....Anyone know of a replacement that will work? thanks

I just checked my spare units so I could get you a pic, they're missing. My car is still in storage for the winter, but they're on it. They should be more of a bullet shaped bumper. They are real close in size and shape to the plastic end on a luggage rack.

FWIW, I've never really understood why they were needed. The console would snap in two before the bumpers did any good. Gotta love the weight of the 68-69 8-Tracks!

I found a really close replacement bumper that fits well and dose the job if any of u guys with console 8 track players need them..thanks.

Didn't some Mopars have the bullet head shape?

These are a bit bigger than ash tray or glove box bumpers...I can get as many as u need there like 3$ ea...
