steering column grommet
 

anyone have a source for the grommet? for the reverse light and steering lockout for a 69?..the tab at the end of the column at the bottom..hooks up to the backdrive linkage..seems to be hard rubber?..Thanks

Update. Seems manual vs auto use a different grommet. Auto is thick, while manual is thinner. Need one for a manual...have a auto to trade [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img]

thickness difference is about 1/8 inch

For anybody who may be able to help Albert, here's a few pictures of what he needs. GM part # 391312 for the steering column grommet with manual trans. Has a few unique features that make it fairly easy to identify. There are letters ABF cast into the rubber and a center brass bushing for the upper backdrive rod. Inside the groove that mounts it to the steering column is a wavy pattern cast into the rubber.
